Ciudadania
Ciudadania is the platform for the Ministry of Education of Argentina, hosted on the portal of the Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires, which promotes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various specific tools for environmental and digital education.
After an initial phase involving schools in Buenos Aires, the CIUDADANIA platform has been extended nationwide, involving 478 private schools and 732 public schools, for a total of 1,210 institutions.
The service is based on the proprietary FairSchool platform.
The project's goal is to spread the message of Global Citizenship: an educational program to promote global citizenship education, as dictated by the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
Ciudadania is aimed at teachers and students in the second cycle of primary school with the following objectives:
- Educational content: educational sequences, multimedia resources, video games.
- Open-access virtual platform that promotes the development of 21st-century skills.
- Teacher training opportunities.
- Pedagogical support.
Teachers have access to comprehensive educational offerings with content, resources, and sequences that can be linked to different areas of knowledge. Additionally, they are able to design and implement interdisciplinary collaborative work with their peers, plan their classes and educational projects, evaluate their students' achievements, and share best practices with colleagues.
Students are provided with an interactive digital space where, through play, exploration, experimentation, research, production, and communication of their findings, they can learn about global citizenship.
